Bio
His current research is focused on Fracture Mechanics, in particular on its applications to predict damage initiation and propagation in composites and their joints at different scales by using non-classical approaches in Fracture Mechanics as the Coupled Criterion of Finite Fracture Mechanics, Cohesive Zone Models, Linear Elastic-Brittle Interface Model and energetic approaches. Additionally, he also works on Boundary Integral Equations, Boundary Element Method, Finite Element Method, interface crack analysis, stress singularity analysis in anisotropic multimaterial corners and Surface Elasticity models.
