Bio
Vibor Jelić is a senior research associate and a head of the Laboratory for Astroparticle Physics and Astrophysics (Division of Experimental Physics) at the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb, Croatia. He is also affiliated with the University of Zagreb as an associate professor in astronomy and astrophysics at the Faculty of Science (Department of Physics). He received his PhD from the University of Groningen in 2010, and subsequently was a postdoctoral researcher at the Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy (ASTRON) and the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute, University of Groningen. His scientific interests are understanding the interplay between the interstellar medium and magnetic fields in the Milky Way and detecting the cosmological 21 cm emission from the Cosmic Dawn and the Epoch of Reionization. His research combines radio (polarimetric) observations with numerical simulations and observations at other wavelengths.
