Brief Summary
LEADERSHIP ROLES:
1. Founding editor- ‘CytoJournal’ (www.cytojournal.com).
Currently Executive editor and Coeditor-in-chief
A peer-reviewed, open-access, PubMed indexed, one of the five scholarly Cytopathology journals.
2. Founding director of Cytopathology fellowship training program, Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee (1998).
3. Founding director of Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy (FNAB) cytology service, Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee (1998).
4. Novel method to teach FNAB technique to M2 in wet lab, using fresh cattle liver stuffed in latex glove.
5. Pioneered intraoperative immunocytochemical evaluation of sentinel lymph nodes for melanoma metastases as a clinical test in concert with various departments as interdisciplinary exercise.
6. President and other executive positions including Program chair for Wisconsin Society of Pathologists- Organized scientific programs for annual conferences since 2001. Currently WSP web page advisor.
7. Represented Wisconsin Society of pathologists for CME accreditation.
8. Pioneered CytoJournal Retreat for PR in Cytopathology during 95th USCAP Annual Meeting of 2006, Atlanta, GA
9. Mentored junior colleagues in the department and international visiting professors.
