Bio
Jun Ushida (Member, IEEE) received the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Osaka University, Toyonaka, Japan, in 1996 and 1999, respectively. In 1999, he joined NEC Corporation, Tsukuba, Japan, where he was involved in research on nanophotonics including photonic crystals and silicon photonics. From 2006 to 2008, he was a member of LSI Chip Optical Interconnect Program in MIRAI-Selete. In 2012, he joined the Photonics Electronics Technology Research Association, Tsukuba, Japan, working on the IPECST project. He is a member of the Japan Society of Applied Physics and Physical Society of Japan.
