Ulf Kulau (Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and the master’s degree in computer science from the Technische Universität Braunschweig, in 2010 and 2012, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from TU Braunschweig, in 2016. From April 2018, he was a Interim Professor with the Computer Engineering and Embedded Computing Research Group, TU Braunschweig, where he was also working on hardware-software co-design in embedded systems. Since February 2019, he has been the Head of Pre-Development, DSI Aerospace Technologie GmbH, where he is investigating new trends in space electronics as well as technology transfer of space electronics. Since 2021, he has been a Professor with the University of Technology Hamburg (TUHH) leading the Smart Sensors Group. His research interest are sensor technologies including low power processing real time processing, integrated signal processing, as well as reliability, fault tolerance, and embedded fault diagnosis in the context of smart sensors. He likes travelling and his favorite animals are chicken.
