Bio
Udara Eshan Manawadu (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in mechanical engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, in 2013, and the M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Graduate School of Modern Mechanical Engineering, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, in 2015 and 2018, respectively. His research interests include driver-vehicle interaction, driver monitoring, human sensing, and human-machine interface systems. He was the recipient of the Award for the Best Paper in IEEE International Conference in Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics in 2016. He is a Member of the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society and has been an Associate Editor for the IEEE-IV Workshop on Human Sensing in Intelligent Vehicles since 2020.
