Bio
My research investigates the biomechanics of dental tissues across multiple scales and tissue types. This work examines how biomechanical processes that occur at the macroscale, such as tooth loading during mastication, influence processes that occur at the nanoscale including cellular functions, and vice versa. My pursuit of an understanding of load transmission within orofacial tissues on these two scales is critical to understanding the etiology of pathological conditions.
