Torsten Zorn is a Flight Systems Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He has had the honor to make significant contributions to over 10 space flight missions over his 20-year career in various capacities from mission definition, to design and development, to operations. He is currently supporting the Sample Return Lander mission as a payload robotics engineer on the sample transfer system. Most recently, he has been a leader in the verification and validation program on the Perseverance Mars Rover Project. He specialized in the most complex and robotically risk prone suite of components on Perseverance, the Sampling and Caching Subsystem. Torsten holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
