Bio
Dr. Tomasz Bieniek received the M.Sc degree and Ph.D degree in electronic engineering from the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland in 2002 and 2007 respectively. The doctor thesis was focused on plasma technologies for ultrathin dielectric layers formation. In 2006 he joined to the Institute of Electron Technology to the Department of Silicon Microsystems and Nanostructure Technology as Assistant Professor. His works are focused to MEMS and CMOS silicon technologies along with multi-domain modelling and simulation of micro- and nanostructures.
In 2019 ITE joined to Łukasiewicz Research Network. In 2020 Łukasiewicz Research Network - ITE was transformed into new Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics (Ł-IMiF) as the legal successor of the Łukasiewicz Research Network institutes: Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Electron Technology (Ł-ITE) and Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Electronic Materials Technology (Ł-ITME).
In Ł-IMiF he is the leader and in co-leader of several successfully concluded and ongoing European and national projects (e.g. CHARM, R3-PowerUp, REACTION, Lab4MEMS2, CarrICool, e-BRAINS, PARSIMO, CORONA, e-CUBES, SE2A, PARSIMO, SMAC). Dr. Bieniek is an author and co-author of more than 80 technical papers presented in journals and at conferences.
