Bio
Todor S. Todorov was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1957. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Sofia, Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1983, the second M.S. degree in decision support systems from the University of Sunderland, Sunderland, U.K., in 1995, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Sofia, Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2001.
From 1984 to 1988, he was a Researcher Assistant with the Department of Theory of Mechanisms and Machines. Since 2002, he has been an Associate Professor, and since 2013, a Professor with the Department of Theory of Mechanisms and Machines, Technical University of Sofia. Since 2014, he has been a Chairman of the Laboratory of Microelectromechanical Systems, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Technical University of Sofia. He is the author of five books, more than 130 articles, and three inventions. His research interests include MEMS energy harvesting technology, synthesis of linkages, and dynamics of machines.
