Tim Ryley is professor of Aviation and former head of Griffith Aviation. He is an internationally renowned and experienced academic across teaching and research, with more than twenty-five years of transport research experience. His focus is on industry-linked, transdisciplinary and problem-based air transport research. Collaborations have been with a wide range of industry and Government partners, including major airports and airlines. He has led or co-led research projects totalling more than $5 million, typically funded by Research Councils or the aviation industry.
