While I have a wide variety of research interests in the Earth sciences and applied mathematics, my focus the past few years has been on model-data connection of surge glaciers, developing algorithms for ICESat-2 signal detection and energy exchanges at the ice-atmosphere boundary of the major ice sheets. I have been particularly interested in the surges of Bering Glacier, Alaska, and Negribreen, Svalbard, where I have participated in several airborne observational campaigns.
