个人简介
Thomas Schanze was born in Kassel, Germany, in 1962. He received the Diploma and Dr. rer. nat. degrees in physics from Philipps Universität Marburg, Germany, in 1989 and 1995, respectively. From 1989 to 2004 he was with the Physics Department, Philipps Universität Marburg. In 1992 he also joined Uwe Thomas Recording, Marburg, and worked there as a leading Electronics Developer till 1994. Besides that he worked from 1993 to 1995 as a Lecturer for the International Office of Philipps Universität Marburg. From 2005 to 2006 he was with the Medical Faculty of RWTH Aachen University, Germany. From 2006 to 2009 he worked as an Executive Employee, CEO, and as self-employed Consultant in the fields of optics and retinal implants. Since 2009 he is a Professor for biomedical engineering at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, Gießen, Germany. His research interests include biomedical engineering, signal processing, neuro- and computational physics, and optics. Dr. Schanze is member of VDE DGBMT, VDE GMA, VDE GMM, the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies of DIN and VDE (IEC/DKE), and Neurowissenschaftliche Gesellschaft.
