Bio
I use climate models, laboratory experiments, theory, numerical modelling, and field data to understand how climate and volcanoes interact. Understanding the key processes governing Earth's climate is an exciting scientific challenge, in particular in the current context of global warming. Volcanoes are an essential door between Earth's interior and its atmosphere and oceans, and are a major threat for those of us living within proximity of an active volcano. Will climate change affect volcanic eruptions? Will we experience decreased or increased volcanic cooling in the future?
