Thomas Filek

My interests are both in the field of vertebrate paleontology as well as in the field of paleobotany. My focus lies on the morphological evolution, diversity and distribution of pleistocene small mammals, but also on triassic "prosauropods". In paleobotany, I specialize on analyzing pollen and their distributions to derive environmental factors. Combining both, my goal in the long term is to reconstruct paleoenvironments by using the diversity of terrestrial vertebrates and its diverse flora.
