Dr. Eissenberg’s primary area of research involves developing and demonstrating methods to evaluate modified risk and other novel tobacco/nicotine products. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and served as principal investigator on numerous NIH grants; across his career, these grants total more than $50 million. He has also served as the sponsor of six NIH-funded National Research Service Award applications (F31 mechanism) and is an active mentor for students and faculty interested in careers in regulatory science.
