Bio

Thara Prabhakaran received the M.Sc. degree in physics and the M.Tech. degree in atmospheric physics from the University of Pune, Pune, India, in 1989 and 1991, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna, Austria, in 1996. She is currently the Project Director of the Cloud-Aerosol Interaction and Precipitation Enhancement Experiment with the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune. She is a member of the WMO Expert Team on the Weather Modification and International Commission on Clouds and Precipitation.
