Bio
Taylor is a PhD candidate at Victoria University and a registered provisional psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). Taylor’s research interests include areas of (Tele)Presence, Behavioural Addictions, Psychopathology, and Psychometry. Her research explores the connection one has with their avatar and the game world, and how this might provide some information about how and who they are outside of the game. Taylor’s interest in video games stemmed from her interest as a young child, particularly in creating different worlds through Sims. This led Taylor to pursue her interest in gaming through her research.
