Bio
Dra. Tatiana Gómez Cano carried out her chemistry degree studies at the Universidad de Antioquia, Medellín, Colombia and her Ph.D. Thesis at Universidad Andres Bello, Chile. Currently she held positions as assistant professor at Universidad Autónoma de Chile since 2014 up to date. She spent several periods at different research centers (Institute of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, Computational Materials Science Laboratory, Universidad de Barcelona (Spain). Institute of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Theoretical Physical Chemistry Group, Freie Universität Berlin, (Germany). Chemistry Institute, Theoretical Chemical Physics Group, Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia). Solar Cells Laboratory, building Ruta N, (Colombia). School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, Sydney University (Australia). Université Pierre et Marie Curie (France). She is a researcher in computational methods to investigate the bulk, surface, and nanoscale properties of a broad class of solid materials, such metal transition carbides and metal oxides, with applications in heterogeneous catalysts and energy. Dra. Gomez research has been mainly sponsored by ANID- Chile, through postdoctoral fellowships (Núcleo Milenio P07-006-F, 2011-2012), (Postdoctoral Fondecyt 3130530, 2013-2015) and Fondecyt inicio 11150164 (2015-2018) as Principal investigator, whose topic is the simulation of surfaces such as TiO2 and its application as a semiconductor in solar cells sensitized by natural organic and inorganic dyes, as well as the study of ultrafast photoelectronic transfer processes, important in interface stability dye-semiconductor. She has participated as a deputy researcher in the International Networks project between research centers, ANID REDES150042 (2016-2017), on the design, obtaining and molecular modeling of clean energy generation devices with a structural, photochemical and catalytic approach. She led the projetc ANID REDEES190102 (2019-2022), focused on the simulation of materials of energetic and catalytic interest towards the production of H2 as an energy vector. Currently she participates as a co-investigator in the project Developing Materials for Hydrogen as an Energy Vector (2022-2026). Dra. Gómez has had activity as a reviewer in Journal of Molecular Modelling, Solar Energy, Journal of Physical Chemistry, International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Journal of the Chemical Society of Pakistan and ANID, Chile.
