Bio
Tatiana J. Carneiro´s academic career is Biochemistry based. She concluded the BSc. degree in 2015 and the MSc. degree in Biomolecular Methods in 2017, both at the University of Aveiro, and including research work developed within Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)-based metabolomics. In 2018, she worked as a research fellow on the BioIMPACT project (PTDC/QEQ-MED/1890/2014), which aimed to evaluate the metabolic impact of new-synthetized complex Palladium(II)-spermine as a potential antineoplastic agent with lower cytotoxicity than the conventional drug cisplatin. Since 2019, she is a PhD student of Biochemistry at the University of Aveiro, focusing on identifying biomarkers of in vitro and in vivo metabolic impact of new metal-based drugs, as potential low-toxicity and high-efficiency therapeutic agents against triple-negative breast cancer. The work developed until the present has led to a total of seventeen peer-reviewed papers, with Tatiana J. Carneiro featuring as first author in six of those.
