Tarun K. Sharma is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree in the field of Soft Computing at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India. His current research interest encompasses evolutionary algorithms, software engineering, and image processing. During the Ph.D. program (since 2009), he has published 15 conference papers and 8 journals. He received the MCA degree from SGRRITS, Dehradun, affiliated to H.N.B. Garhwal University, Srinagar, UK, India, MBA in Marketing Management from Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, Rajasthan and M.Tech degree in Information Technology from the KSO University, Karnataka, India. From January to December, 2001, he worked at Numeron Integrated Solutions, Noida, India, as Software developer. He has been a Faculty Member at the Department of Computer Applications, Theerthanker Mahaveer Institute of Management and Technology, Moradabad, affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, Institute of Management Studies, Roorkee and Department of Computer Science Engineering, Shobhit Institute, Saharanpur, affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, India (now MMTU, Noida). He is a certified Internal Auditor 9001:2000, Benchmark Jas-Anz and Student Member of Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR), USA.
