Tao Chen(陈涛)

TAO CHEN M.D. Associate Professor He has been an endocrinologist for eight years in Department of Endocrinology, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, major in diabetes mellitus and its complications. He has some experience in etiologic study in diabetes pedigrees, in systematic review and meta-analysis of observational study and clinical trials, in epidemic study of metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes mellitus, in in vivo and in vitro study about GGT, ferritin, oxidative stress and islet beta-cell function and insulin resistance. He had done post-doctoral research on obesity related cancer, obesity and polyunsaturated fatty acids from Oct.2008 to Oct. 2009 in Cell Biology and Physiology of Pittsburgh University Medical Center. He gain a grand from National Nature Science Foundation of China, and have already pubished 9 papers as the first author in international journals and Chinese national journals.
