Clauvis Nji Tizi Taning

I am currently working at Ghent University (UGent) in Belgium as a senior researcher at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering, where I am involved in projects spanning from fundamental to applied aspects in insect sciences. In my multidisciplinary research, I combine different modern techniques in biotechnology, such as Genome editing, RNA interference (RNAi), Bioinformatics, Phytochemical analysis, Genomics, Virus Engineering and Bacteria engineering to develop novel insect-specific strategies for pest control and sustainable integrated pest management (IPM) systems. I also tutor and guide master, PhD and exchange students. I have also been actively involved in both national and international projects on RNAi, including a European COST Action on RNAi, European H2020 projects and Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) projects. I have also published and reviewed a number of articles in well-known international journals and have given many invited lectures and presentations in different countries.
