个人简介
As an Instrumentation expert, Dr. Weckwerth has been on over 15 field expeditions to assure optimal data collection for multiple research objectives defined by university PIs. As a researcher in NCAR's Earth Observing Laboratory, she uses data from radars, lidars, soundings, wind profilers, cloud photographs, aircraft data, satellite imagery, and surface stations. Weckwerth concentrates on mesoscale meteorology; more specifically, the relationship between the boundary layer and the initiation of thunderstorms. Her areas of expertise are mesoscale meteorology, organized structures within the planetary boundary layer, and initiation of thunderstorms.
