Tahir Cader

Tahir Cader received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Kentucky in 1993. He joined Isothermal Systems Research (ISR) in May 2000. Since then, he has been involved in the R&D, thermal analysis, product development, and business development of spray cooled systems for both military and commercial customers. As Director of the Computing Products Group, he is overseeing ISR's efforts in the areas of electronics densification, COTS electronics insertion for dual-use applications, systems solutions development for thermal management in high performance computing applications, and system architecture development for thermal management in telecom applications. He also oversees ISR's spray cooling program for the semiconductor diagnostics/FA industry. He is a co-inventor on a number of SprayCool patents issued and pending, and co-author of a number of spray cooling journal, conference, and panelist articles. From 1993 to 2000, he worked in contract R&D, investigating the use of magnetically driven magnetic fluids. The investigations included: thermal management of high voltage distribution and transmission transformers; thermal management of space-based systems operating in microgravity; and magnetic fluid-based MEMS/NEMS. His graduate studies were in the areas of multiphase flows and the thermal sciences.
