Bio
Thomas Tybell received the M.Sc. degree in electronic systems design and innovation from NTNU. He has 15 years of experience in oxide electronics materials science and a Co-Founder of the Oxide Electronics Group, NTNU. He focuses on the synthesis and nano-structuring of epitaxial complex oxide thin heterostructures and superlattices. His research interests include interface engineering of ferroelectric and magnetic systems and the possibility for symmetry engineering of functional properties. In parallel to research, he has devoted his effort to teaching and administration. He has had the responsibility to direct and develop a cross-disciplinary nanotechnology effort at NTNU. He is currently the Deputy Director of the Department of Electronic Systems, with responsibility for research.
