Bio
Earth-surface processes shape our planet and provide the basis for infrastructure and food production. A quantitative understanding of these processes is important to predict future changes of landscape and soil systems with higher certainty.
My research develops at the cross-roads of luminescence dating and new application within earth sciences. My goal is to quantify landscape and soil formation processes by harvesting intrinsic luminescence properties of mineral grains.
