Bio
Tsukasa Hirayama received the B.E. degree from the Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan in 1981, and the Ph.D. degree in applied physics from the Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan in 1998.
During 1981–1994, he was a Researcher at Nippondenso Corporation and Japanese Research and Development Corporation (JRDC). In 1994, he joined the Japan Fine Ceramics Center (JFCC) as a Senior Researcher. He was also a Visiting Professor at Nagoya Institute of Technology and Nagoya University and Managing Director of Japanese Society of Microscopy. He is currently the Deputy Director of Nanostructures Research Laboratory at JFCC, Nagoya. His research interests include electron holography, semiconductor physics, and magnetic materials.
Dr. Hirayama is the recipient of 15 academic awards including “The Japanese Society of Microscopy Seto Prize.”
