Bio
Mr Trent Ernest HAMMOND is passionate about teaching psychology and the social sciences to undergraduate university students at Western Sydney University The College and community services to learners at TAFE NSW. He enjoys tutoring students at Charles Sturt University, within the Division of Student Services.
Mr Trent Hammond is a Research Coordinator at the School of Medicine and Public Health in the College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing at The University of Newcastle. His PhD in Medicine research at The University of Sydney involves conceptualizing an innovative psycho-educational social anxiety mobile application to optimise treatment pathways and improve knowledge in the community regarding social anxiety. His other research interests include managing professional boundaries between health professionals and clients and reducing intentional self-harm and suicide.
Further, Mr Hammond is involved in research at NSW Health (Western Sydney Local Health District and Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District), the Hunter Medical Research Institute, and Western Sydney University. He has strong and enduring relationships with the Child Abuse Prevention Service and other Australian charities. Mr Hammond is a member of the Society for Mental Health Research, Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association, and the Anxiety Disorders Association of Victoria.
