个人简介
My earlier research focuses on signaling pathways in cancer and anticancer agent development. My overarching goal is to investigate cellular proliferation and transformation, and molecular and chemical genetics of the integrated endoplasmic reticulum stress response (IERSR). Many lines of evidences point towards a role for the IERSR in the genesis or progression of different pathologies, including cancer. My studies are intended to clarify the regulatory signaling pathways and to identify specific probes of translation initiation and IERSR for drug discovery and disease treatment.
My current research focuses on molecular biology and drug development in oncology including target identification, chemical scaffold optimization and animal models. I am currently working on various lung cancer mouse models and drug tests using GEMMs and xenograft through both academic (Harvard, MIT and MD Anderson etc.) and industrial (AZ, Pfizer, GSK, Eli Lilly and Gilead etc.) collaborations. Meanwhile, I am utilizing a 3D culture new platform using patient biopsy samples for personalized treatment strategy. Main role of my work involves research proposal and budgeting, group leading, project execution and management. My research interests are on how to better model human diseases, lung cancer in particular, using animal models and testing top-notch regimens including targeted therapies and immune therapies as well as resistant mechanisms of existing approved medications.
