Thomas Castelain

My research focuses on social cognition and communicative abilities in young children. I investigate the emergence and the development of epistemic vigilance, trust, hierarchy, and argumentation. I am also interested in better understanding the underlying processes that explain why collaborative learning can be so powerful and the impact of culture on its development. To do so, I rely on experimental methods implemented in developmental and cross-cultural settings.
