My research interests are focused on impacts of modern biotechnologies, especially GMOs on experimental model systems, food-webs and farmers. I test the food quality of GM plants (e.g. Bt-maize and Roundup Ready soy) in the model organism Daphnia magna, also in combination with chemical stressors like herbicides and pesticides. In the field I perform effect studies on climate and biodiversity. I also have great interest in evolution, biodiversity, ecological interactions and invasion biology.
