Bio
Dr. Trish Stadnyk is a Professional Engineer and Professor with the Department of Geography at the University of Calgary (Adjunct Professor in Civil Engineering at the University of Manitoba). Currently, she is the principle researcher on several interdisciplinary studies examining the effects of climate change on Canada’s water supply, with a focus on remote northern basins. She is involved in establishing and coordinating Environment Canada’s national river isotope monitoring network; two regional river isotope tracer studies discerning the sources of runoff in the Mackenzie and Nelson River basins; and two international studies - one examining the dynamics of isotopes in snowmelt, and one monitoring isotopes in large river basins around the world. She is also the Vice-President of the International Tracer Committee for the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, and National Board member for the Canadian Water Resources Association.
