Bio
The yeast Snf1 protein kinase of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae regulates activation of genes involved in metabolism of non-glucose carbon sources through the control of the transcriptional repressor Mig1. The main goal of the project is to establish the exact molecular mechanism controlling the Snf1/Mig1 pathway, in order to understand its dynamic properties and cell-to-cell variability employing single cell technology developed in ISOLATE network. In particular, we are interested in phosphorylation and dephosphorylation dynamics of Mig1, its’ physical interactions with other components of the pathway.
