个人简介
My research interest has focused on the understanding of the molecular mechanism underlying cell-to-cell transmission of the influenza virus, including trogocytosis, tunneling nanotube and viral synapse. As a Ph.D. student, I had an excellent research experience to work with the risk group 3 (RG3) pathogens including H5N1 and H7N9 within BSL-3 Facility under supervision of Dr. Arunee Thitithanyanont. For my postdoctoral training with Dr. Somchai Chutipongtanate, the goal of our research was to understand the role of extracellular vesicles released from SARS-CoV-2 infected cells and mesenchymal stem cells on SARS-CoV-2 infection. We were interested in microRNAs and proteins identified in EVs that could play an important role in intercellular communication and viral infection. I am currently working as a researcher at Mahidol University with two lines of research; (i) I will continue my research on molecular virology to study the mechanism of cell-to-cell transmission of the influenza virus and (ii) I will expand our study on extracellular vesicles to other respiratory viruses including influenza virus and respiratory syncytial virus.
