个人简介
Dr. Suman Chirra obtained his Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from Osmania University (OU, Hyderabad), Telangana, India, in 2011. He then pursued his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW), Telangana, India, and successfully defended his thesis in August 2020, under the guidance of Prof. N. Venkatathri. During his doctoral studies, Dr. Chirra was awarded the Erasmus Plus International Credit Mobility E+Ka107 Fellowship at CIQUS, University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain, under the supervision of Prof. Pablo del Pino. He was also the recipient of the TEEP@AsiaPlus, STRIP at Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) Taiwan, under the mentorship of Prof. Li-Fang Wang.
After obtaining his Ph.D., Dr. Chirra worked as a Postdoctoral research associate in the laboratory of Prof. Ujjawal Pal at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, India. Currently, he holds a MOST Postdoctoral fellowship (PDF) in the Department of Chemical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan City, Taiwan. His research interests are focused on the design, synthesis, and characterization of porous materials, including Zeolites, Mesoporous Materials, and Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), and their potential applications in Heterogeneous Catalysis, Photocatalysis, Nanomedicine, Gas storage/separation, and Energy applications.
As a chemist, Dr. Chirra is dedicated to addressing the challenges of the ever-increasing demand for energy while minimizing its environmental impact. He aims to develop and implement economically feasible and environmentally sustainable projects and technologies. Whether at the fundamental or industrial level, Dr. Chirra is committed to promoting energy efficiency, reducing waste and emissions, and conserving resources. His expertise and knowledge in relevant fields enable him to contribute significantly to advancing sustainable practices and fostering a healthier planet for future generations.
