After working on wheat-rusts for nearly 36 years, I have now joined as Emeritus Scientist. I shall be now focusing on diversity of rust resistance in select wheat lines and epidemiology of wheat rusts in India in its present day context. There is a shift in wheat cultivation in hills to vegetables and fruits crops. Alternate hosts are non functional, there is hardly any wheat in off-season and I shall be interested in zeroing the about the recurrence of wheat rusts.
