Gary D. Strahan

As a biophysical chemist, I study biomolecular systems using spectroscopic techniques, especially NMR, and often augment it with computational modelling or chemometric multivariate statistics. I have used NMR, CD and Raman to study DNA quadruplexes and DNA-drug interactions. Now a Research Chemist with the USDA, I identify, quantitate and characterize physico-chemical properties relevant to agriculture, such as: symbiotic mycorrhizal fungi, metabolomics, carbohydrates, food safety and bio-fuels.
