Steven Lacey

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park and a recipient of the 2015 NDSEG Fellowship. My advisor is Prof. Liangbing Hu. Current research areas/interests: - Nanomaterial synthesis (e.g. multimetallic solid solution nanoparticles; nanoporous 2D materials) - In situ/operando characterization to understand battery operation at the nanoscale - Design of electrode architectures using alternative, additive-free battery manufacturing processes (i.e. 3D printing & cold/dry pressing) - Solid state batteries - Catalysis
