Career Trajectory
Bio
Steven Adler-Golden (adlergolden@spectral.com) received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Yale University and his Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from Cornell University in 1974 and 1979, respectively. He is a senior technical fellow at Spectral Sciences, Inc. (SSI), Burlington, Massachusetts. He has been actively involved in optical spectroscopic research and development for four decades, with nearly 20 years experience in hyperspectral and multispectral remote sensing. He was the lead designer of the well-known FLAASH atmospheric correction code, developed by SSI and the U.S. government, and he has contributed to the development and validation of a variety of software tools for spectral remote sensing. He has authored or coauthored more than 40 research publications in refereed journals, more than 50 articles on hyperspectral and multispectral imagery, and 13 patents on spectroscopic sensors and algorithms. He has served as a referee for seven scientific journals on remote sensing. He is a Member of the IEEE.
