个人简介
Using both HTP drug discovery platforms and in-vivo models of skeletal muscle disorders I am pursuing low molecular weight therapies for FSHD, sarcopenia and cachexia.
My former research areas consisted of rare genetic diseases of the kidney, with emphasis on glomerular nephropathies and bone diseases related to kidney dysfunction. I've made several contributions to the renal field have led to understanding in-vivo rodent models of diabetic nephropathy and renal osteodystrophy.
Research prior to CKD-MBD (Chronic Kidney Disease with Mineral Bone Disorder) reflected in osteoporosis discovery projects, phosphate handling reflected in intestinal phosphate co-transporters and the kidney with FGF-23.
