个人简介
Steve completed his PhD studies in 2004 at Queensland University of Technology where he was the recipient of an NHMRC “Dora Lush” postgraduate scholarship to study steroid hormones and cancer. He then moved to the University of Queensland, Australia in 2006 to pursue a career in the genetics of metabolic disease and has published widely in the field of insulin resistance in skeletal muscle and type 2 diabetes. Steve’s other research interests include understanding the impact of nutritional processes that facilitate better health outcomes for type 2 diabetes. Steve is currently employed at the University of Tasmanian, Australia where he lectures in the molecular sciences and is team leader for his metabolic disease research group.
