Stephanie Scheiber-Enslin

My research interests range from oil and gas, to mineral deposits, to hydrgeophysics. My PhD research focused on the onshore shale gas deposits of the Karoo Basin and modelling the deeper lithospheric structure of South Africa using GOCE satellite gravity data. I have therefore looked at the subsurface structure of South Africa from shallow to deep. My students research has now expanded to offshore basins. In terms of mineral exploration, I have been involved in seismic studies of the Bushveld Complex, and now have students branching out into kimberlite exploration. The field of hydrogeophysics and machine learning is a new field that my students, and therefore my research, is expanding into.
