Stefanos Ougiaroglou was born in Aridea, Greece in 1981. He received a B.Sc in informatics (2004) from Information Technology department of Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, Greece and a M.Sc. in Information Systems (2006) from Computer Science department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Furthermore, He has employed as an adjunct lecturer/instructor in Telecommunication Systems and Networking department of Technological Educational Institute of Messolonghi, Greece. Currently, he is a computer science teacher in Greek public secondary education and a Ph.D. student, supervised by Professor G. Evangelidis, in the department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia, Greece. His Ph.D. studies are supported by a state scholarship from Greek State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.) and focus on Algorithms and Techniques for fast k-Nearest Neighbours Classification. In general, His research interests include Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Machine Learning, Data Management for Mobile Computing, Algorithms and Data Structures, Educational Technology. Mr. Ougiaroglou has published several scientific papers in these areas.
