个人简介
Stefania Sica received the cum laude degree in civil engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Napoli, Italy, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree in geotechnical engineering from the University Consortium of Roma La Sapienza and Napoli Federico II, Napoli, Italy, in 2001.
From June 2001 to December 2004, she was a Scientist Assistant with the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, University of Naples, Napoli, Italy. From November 2006 to October 2017, she was an Assistant Professor with the University of Sannio, Benevento, Italy. Since November 2017, she has been an Associate Professor with the University of Sannio, Benevento. She spent some training periods abroad in different universities and research centers and participated to several national and international research projects. She has authored and coauthored more than 130 scientific papers published on peer-reviewed international journals, national journals, and proceedings of national and international conferences and symposia. Her research interests include the theoretical and numerical analysis of different geotechnical structures (earth dams, deep, and shallow foundations) under static and seismic conditions; soil-structure interaction problems for historical buildings and bridges; site response analysis for microzonation studies.
Prof. Sica is a member of the Earthquake Geotechnical Engineering Committee of the Italian Geotechnical Society. She collaborated to the supporting activity of AGI to the Department of Civil Protection in the emergency after the LAquila earthquake in 2009 and the Emilia earthquake of 2012. She is a Reviewer for different international journals.
