个人简介
Dr. Stefania Ravazzi is based in the University of Torino, Department of Cultures, politics and society. She has a PhD in Political Science and her fields of research include: deliberative democracy, urban governance and policy analysis. She is especially interested in how different processes of decision-making and different governance models might influence policy change, policy effectiveness and the quality of democracy. Her studies mainly focus on qualitative comparative analyses.
She has worked with local, national and international research groups in projects on urban governance, deliberative democracy, electoral systems, public policies. Most recent research projects regard urban regimes, the quality of deliberation, media and public policies, and local development policies. She has also worked for public institutions in order to design and manage innovative processes involving stakeholders and citizens in decision-making.
Her teaching activity has began in 2005 and since 2010 she has tought BA courses (‘Political science’ and ‘Public management’), master courses (‘Theory and practice of deliberation’ at the Master in Policy Analysis) and advanced seminars (‘Collective choices and deliberation’ at the School of Higher Education in Turin and the Higher Politechinc School in Milan).
She is member of the Standing group ‘Democratic Innovations’ and of the Standing group ‘Local government and politics’ of the European Consortium of Political Research and of the Standing group ‘Social movements and political participation’ of the Italian Political Science Association.
