Stefan A. Talke received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley, Berkeley, CA, USA, in 1996, 2001, and 2005, respectively. He is currently a Professor of civil and environmental engineering with Portland State University, Portland, OR, USA. His research interests include hydrodynamic processes and sediment transport in estuaries, rivers, and ocean using a combination of field data, analysis, and modeling.
