The Rudiger group focusses on the mechanism of the Hsp90 chaperone machine on the assembly of disordered regions in sig nalling proteins. We aim to identify the mech anisms of interaction of Hsp90 with substrate proteins, and we will contin ue to analyse folding and chaperoning of disordered proteins. Recently we identified a complex of Hsp90 with the Tau protein, which disclosed the mechanism of Hsp90-substrate interaction, the timing of chaperoning and chaperoning of the protein Tau.
