个人简介
Dr. Petropoulos Spyridon received his Ph.D. diploma in Agricultural Sciences in 2006 from the Agricultural University of Athens, his MSc in 2001 in Vegetable Production and his BSc in 1998 in Crop Production. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Vegetable Production in the Department of Agriculture, Crop Production and Rural Environment of University of Thessaly, Greece. His research interests include the essential oils of herbs and medicinal plants, the quality of vegetable products (aroma profile, nitrate content, vitamins, phenolic compounds, color etc.), nutrition of horticultural plants, salinity and plant physiology under high salinity stress, plant physiology under water stress, post-harvest physiology of fruit and vegetables, vegetable grafting and hydroponics. He has authored and co-authored 63 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, has published two books, has taken part in scientific programs as well as in international and national conferences. His current research projects include the evaluation of nutritional profile and chemical composition of landraces and ecotypes of horticultural species and native edible plants.
