个人简介
Sonia Nuttman is a public health lecturer and researcher at Deakin University who works at the intersection of human health, nature and sustainability. She has received a Green Gowns Award for Learning, Teaching and Skills through the Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability (ACTS) in 2015. The Jim and Alison Leslie Award for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching and Learning and the Vice Chancellors Award for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching and Learning, at Deakin University in 2010. Sonia’s research interests and expertise include: sustainable food systems (e.g. university farms, community gardens/school kitchen gardens, permaculture, food movements), the impacts of wild and natural environments on health and wellbeing (e.g. wilderness therapy, forest schools), education for sustainability and eco-living. Sonia demonstrates that living sustainably and achieving health and vitality is possible. She is the co-founder and chair of the Deakin University, Campus Community Garden and won the Vice Chancellors Award for Outstanding Contribution to a Healthy Deakin in 2015 for this initiative. Sonia is an active member of the Health, Nature and Sustainability Research Group at Deakin University.
